Nearly everyone who has flyfished has tried the "clouser minnow” and for good reason ever since it was created in 1987 this fly has caught countless amount of fish in nearly every situation.
The eyes on most of the store bought clouser are to light this decreases the motion of the fly and makes the hook point ride down or sideways which can deter fish from eating.
The Clackin’ Minnow has two brass beads on the top of the hook shank which gives the fly its constant action and makes the hook point ride up and away from snags. I have also witnessed the rattle that the beads create on each strip attract fish from a far.
This fly is tied on a Gamakatsu 3/0 SC-15 and the head is epoxied to increase durability.
